Every time I've needed good boxes for moving, I go to U-Haul and buy some. You can get a stack of 20 or so boxes I think for about $35.

Are ya'll going to be doing the U-Haul thing and driving cross country, or letting a moving company handle it? If you're driving, I might try to meet ya'll somewhere in Texas for lunch or somethin' on the way. :D

Also check out sams club. I use a lot of resources. contact schools locally. when I was a custodian, I always found useful boxes when we recycled them. big, small, in between, you nme it. check with the school board to get their ok first though.

otherwise, ask he county, I bet they get all sorts of things at their maintenance shops, so thats another alternative.

We will be doing the U-Haul cross country. Plan to stay a day in Houston. Sept. 8th through the 12th is travel time.

i always go to publix and go the guys in the back , and start asking if they have extra boxes. those boxes are usually very strong, i moved way too many times and got pretty efficient at it.

shmike 07-13-2009 09:34 AM

You leaving us fuckface?

I'll start hoarding boxes from stuff we get at the office.

jgalt 07-13-2009 10:02 AM

I thnik I have a couple at the house. I will check tonight, and bring them over when I come to get my bike.

No grocery stores!! I don't want to take a risk with bugs.

And I'm definately looking on Craigslist!!! I forgot I had a coworker move and see found someone on there who moved everything in those big plastic tupperware containers and were selling them for a dollar each.

I'm trying!!

Plus, you know I'm in Fort Lauderdale 3-4 nights a week... glad to see you've written me off so quickly...

...but I still do feel like I'm disconnected with the world.

AquaPython 07-13-2009 10:22 AM

bugs? i have used grocery boxes several times , and never had a box. you have to ask the guys in the frozen section. like boxes that plastic-sealed , frozen chicken comes in. clean, large and very strong.

I've had a bug issue. I've also gotten wet boxes too. It's not worth it, I'll pay for clean boxes.

Come to VB tonight.

I've got 2 boxes for you.

Also, leave me your Blaster. :D

Bcb871810 07-14-2009 09:55 AM

Can't tonight. I'm sick and I have to work tonight.

Why should I leave you my blaster, so you can add another broken toy to your collection?

Think redneck dirt: trails, mud and 4x4's.

You'll probably find something to get hurt on though.

I have an uncle who is one of the top Ortho's in the country.

Make it soon or else you'll have to come to AZ and play in the desert. Well, you'll have to do it regardless if its soon or not. So plan on desert play!

You are foiling my plans.

I thought you were staying until the end of the year?
