Bump started a 1200cc twin?!?! Jesus! I thought my heart would explode after the 4th try.

Lesson learned, take the damn key out or at least turn it off...

did you try it in 2nd?

i bumped my 800, but i think it's hard cuz it's v-twin.

Second and third. Second finally worked. First just locks up the rear.

Then again, second just locked up till I jumped on it full force and popped the clutch.

I've always done it in 2nd gear...but never on the big twin.

Even when you leave them sitting all day with the lights on?

Then again, if your starter were on my beast, it probably wouldn't turn it over to begin with. Cough cough

Had a guy trying to start his 1098 at a local trackday.

Every time he dumped the clutch the rear wheel would lock.

I asked him why he didn't try using 2nd gear, he informed me it was skidding in 3rd!!!

I have to hand crank my tractor.
