Seriously, I've ridden my wife's scooter, I've crossed Bermuda by scooter several times, and I just don't get the performance-scooter thing. The itty-bitty wheels, legs-in-front-of-body thing feels unbalanced, lacking in leverage, and honestly a bit silly compared to a bike.
