AMorok, I hear ya about sleeping on the ground, though I've not done it a lot, I'm just not fond of it cause I usually wake up stiff and then I do need a hot shower to loosen things up.
$32 a night at a hotel isn't bad at all, I'm all up for that. Blueridge is a nice town too, lots of resturants and convieniences (walmart, advance auto parts etc. kinda stuff). I'd say go for the first one if TWO doesn't get back to us soon enough or if the lodge is booked already
