I'm hoping to get the GoPro in 2 to 3 weeks. I mountain bike, road bike, kayak, motorcycle, and will be getting into rock climbing soon. So the GoPro is perfect for me. I need to find a cheap place to get it other than Ebay.
But I did have a rigged up camera to my motorcycle. Took a cue stick holder and then hacksawed the middle of the foam. I had a skinny Sony Cybershot that I'd place in the slot and tape down with electrical tape. Here is the mount by the gas cap...
