I have Dainese gloves ( these.. I even bought them from CycleGear  ). I tried a pair of Alpinestars but ended up returning them because in order for them to fit the length of my fingers, the width was too much, and they didn't have the velcro to cinch them down around the wrist (only the velcro on the gauntlet), so they would slide off very easily. The Dainese ones fit me perfectly, and break in very well. The pair I had before was the previous model of the same glove, and they lasted me for about 5 years of heavy wear.
