In college my room mate found a tame white rabbit running around in the woods in Hampton, VA. She brought him home and named him Hampton. Hampton had a fly larvae coming out of his neck. It was as big around as my pinkie finger.
We didn't know what it was, so called around until we could find a vet we could afford.
He pulled the thing out with tweezers and proceeds to 'pet' it while we were squiriming around with the heebie geebies!!
That left Hampton with a HUGE hole in his neck we had to put salve in. It was SO NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!
