I have only run the long course, 3.1 miles with a 1 mile front straight that also serves as a dragstrip, and my balls only let me hit 155 on the front straight. The big dogs are wide open, fastest recorded speed at the apex of T1 is 186 mph.
When 600cc racers ask the local "pros" where the braking markers are for T1, they calmly reply... "Turn 2".
