The honda goldwing may be big and heavy, but cumbersome is not what I would call it. That damn thing is balanced damn well. An average rider can manuever that thing surprisingly well. Remember the video of that dude doing donuts. That bike is very very well built for how big and it is.
You don't have to go with a goldwing either. I think the viffer's are shaft drive too.
But if I was too pick the least maintenance drive, I would go with the honda any day of the week over anything else out there.
