I look on Craigslist and the local papers, primarily. It's not where you look, it's how you look, and if you recognize opportunity when you see it. When I'm actively "on the hunt", I scan literally hundreds of ads a week, I'll call maybe forty of the sellers I'm interested in, and look at two or three potentials before I make a deal. I lose 75% of the deals I want, sometimes because I underbid and piss of the seller, and sometimes because I'm not quick enough and somebody beats me to it.
I also stick to what I know, so i (usually) don't mess with cruisers and Harleys; I stick mostly to nekkids and sportbikes.
