If I were still in Michigan (and single), I would take my grandmother's house near 475 and Carpenter Road. Bars on the windows and booby traps in the garage, of course.
My mom lives in the Kearsley area towards Davison (much nicer) and the 3,000 square foot house next door recently sold for $25K. Place is a joke.
