I averaged 25mpg with my Sonoma and could get more on extended freeway trips. Nothing amazing for a 4-cylinder, but good enough for a truck.
I know a few people with newer V8 Chevies and they all report excellent mileage. I wouldn't mind one at all; just wish you could get one with a stick.
My Dakota does not get good mileage. No better than the full-size Ram I had prior to the Sonoma.
