With most pre-digital sportbikes, most of their speedos were so small that you had to squint to tell if you were going 72 or 78. The needle blocked half of the space between 70 and 80. That's why I prefer digitals.

I think after a few weeks of ownership, you'll know where the needle is pointing without having to see the actual number.
