Cousin loses leg in motorcycle wreck

Wow !!

Hate to hear stories like this that damper the fun and enjoyment of motorcycle riding. Thoughts are definitely with your cousin and family...that really sucks.

I was in a pretty bad accident a few years back and I remember them telling me they were going to amputate my left leg just below the knee...talk about getting hit with a ton of bricks !! Luckily for me they decided to attempt to save it with several surgeries/skin graphs etc.... and did...even though I still have issues with the leg...ankle and foot.

On a positive note though...stories like this make me realize how lucky I was regardless...mainly because I was riding solo...my wife (then GF) was at work and was supposed to be with me but wasn't. I didn't lose a loved one in the process like you cousin...man I hate to think what she's going to have to go through.
