There's not that much difference in peak HP.

I don't know what the weight/hp impact is, but I'd bet that you'd lose more than 11 HP with a 60 lb difference in combined rider and bike weight.

Add to that the impact of aerodynamic drag of my galloot ass compared to his and I'm not surprised.
