I've worked with 10-15 GS civilians... 3 or 4 were worthless... but they couldn't be fired unless they basically didn't show up for work or did something illegal. fucking sucked. but from the civilians standpoint... gotta be nice to know they can't just can you because they want their friend hired (something they try a lot especially with spouses on base)

I know you weren't siding with laziness... it's def a perk... just unfortunately in practice it has turned out to be not a good thing IMO
