Yea I cry bullshit on that one! There's a company that sells fairing kits here in the US and claims theirs are "perfect" and they ship for free....guess what? They also want $900 for their kits. GTFO!

a buddy of mine sold a set of race fairings, was going to ship them for the guy but found out with the size of the box it was going to cost close to $200. the guy ended up driving to meet him to save some money.

these are all pretty good looking sets. I'm expecting to get mine pretty soon now, i ordered them about a month ago (4 weeks next wednesday). Really looking forward to seeing some skin on the bike, it seems all i've been doing lately is stripping shit off.

How much time did u have to put in to get those aftermarkets to fit properly tig? what kind of tools am i gonna need to use?

Honestly, I've fitted three of these kits now and they aren't always perfect but it has always been a matter of doing a little trimming or throwing in a screw or two. Half of the people who do all of the complaining probably couldn't install OEM plastic either without fucking it up. Besides, it is definitely no worse than fitting a set of race plastic!

For mine all I really needed was some patience and in some cases, some bolts, nuts and screws. Some of the mounting points where the fairing pieces attach to each other took different hardware than the stock does. Seriously, make sure you're in a good frame of mind and take your time. Besides, depending on who you purchased from, some of these "Chinese" kits have come a long way and some even claim to be exactly the same fit as OEM. In fact, several of the differeny companies sell "perfect fit" kits whose parts are interchangeable with stock pieces.

The problem with the "reviews" is that there are a dozen or more companies that sell aftermarket fairing of various quality (and age). Unfortunately, all of the "Chinese plastic" gets lumped together as one entity.
