The steering lock damaging the frame makes me wonder if you're better off leaving the steering unlocked. Would a brake disc lock be more effective and less prone to expensive bike damage? I don't think you can get a set of bolt cutters around a disc lock.

they just pop your wheel off. they would rather just take the bike and leave easily replaceable wheels when they are in that situation

A local sportbike theft ring was recently broken up due to one bike having lojack and the thieves not being aware of it.
They were lucky I guess because a good thief would know where to look imho to remove it OR park the bike in a remote location for a few days to see if LEO come to it. ![]() I hate a friggen' thief.

I put a ZoomBak on my bike a while ago and took the time to locate it in an unusual place. Most people just toss them in the trunk or under the seat. I noticed that they didn't mention alarms. I wonder why? Do they think they are effective or not?
I also noticed that they didn't mention the fact that Suzuki GSXRs are equipped with chips in the keys... It seems strange that they wouldn't mention alarms or the key chip at all...
