A friend of mine from work goes to Brown Mountain all the time (that's probably much closer to you than me) for trail riding. From what he says, you can spend days out there and never hit the same trail. And I've heard of at least 2 MX tracks out this way, one near Raleigh and one near Goldsboro. I'm sure there are more (or hope).

A few more: Speed Compound in Sanford, NCMP in Henderson, Cape Fear MX park in Elizabethtown.
