4 db may not sound like a lot, but 3 db is perceived as "twice as loud".

I'll go one better, and suggest that they should also add ground glass.

NO ONE wants colored glass (in terms of recycling), unlike clear glass which is easily recycled, and is actually a relatively sought-after recycled product.

Ground glass added to asphalt makes it incredibly long-wearing. It's a perfect use for hard-to-recycle green and brown glass, and if you added the recycled rubber, I think you just might have the ultimate backtop. Looks really nice at night too...oooooh, sparkly.
