You may be right but I doubt it. I can't think of a single light duty diesel that has sold well in this country in the last 20 years. Add in the likelihood the price will be somewhere between the Jetta Sportwagon TDI (base $24k) and the Touareg TDI (base $44k) and you end up with a $30k+ four banger truck with 160hp. In my opinion that isn't a recipe for success.
