well if $$$ works out right... I was gonna just use my Strada's for the first track day (the orentation one) then when I got back... buy a set of take offs... (as I don't want brand new tires to sit for a year)...

but right now it's too early to know for sure if I can swing it.

take offs aren't new... they're used.

I'd say it's worth $50 IMO to get a better tire to run for the day.

didn't say they were new... I said I didn't want new tires to sit for the 6 months before I get back...

I don't want RACE take offs... but powers someones selling for $50 might be worth looking into... if all else fails I'll buy new set of tires... but they'll be the Road2's if not the Strada's again

I wouldn't ride race takeoffs unless you got tire warmers, it's better to just get a set of powers or some shit. Especially being noob to track dayz you might not even be able to heat up takeoffs.

most of the race take offs are like PP's or Qual's. Not true race tires.

apparently you don't get your takeoffs from the same place I look, cause they are true race compound tires not DOT.

Tire vendors at the track is where they come from
Most of these guys are just getting started and are just a bit beyond normal track days.
Generally they are qualifyers or whatever the bridgestone equivalant is, as bridgestone and dunlop are track sponsors.

i know this i was too lazy to quote you above, so i just quoted that one to get your attention instead of quoting the one about getting to the track and realizing how slow i am compared to other riders
