You may regret it, but like you said, there's many twisties in TN. You won't need all the 51 power to enjoy the 650, I guess. Throw a GSXR suspension on it and you'll be set.

i like the idea of having the same bike as her so instead of having back up parts for two seperate bikes, one stash will work for both bikes

Ahem,I may just know someone who has forks,lower triples and a rear shock for a GSXR1000....
