Frank Thomas is an ENglish brand, they're generally cut to fit taller/thinner riders. (As are most brands manufactured mostly in europe)
Check out the WERA Forums for used stuff cheap! forums.13x.com I got a brand new set of Teknic Violator leathers for $225 shipped.

There's a lot of people that work for vendors, too. I put the word out that I wanted a Shoei Kagayama replica and a few of them responded quickly with either links to cheap ones or ones from their store. I found a used one on Ebay, but the brand new prices weren't that bad.
Post a WTB there, yo.
