Yeah, my 94 explorer is the same size as the current escape.

I just prefer a RWD based vehicle, with true selectable 4x4.

The Kia Sorento is a pretty nice riding and handling crossover with decent room and cargo room for fairly little money. When my current beater car dies I will probably be replacing it with one of those.
