As common as small blocks are it'd probably be cheaper to build one of those than to buy a nice new one...

My 9hp was $1K new. The $/hp ratio is much better with this v8.

Actually, I was just checking this thing out after I saw it in this thread, and they dont throw snow half as well as a 14hp honda snowblower(which is pretty much the standard for home snow removal up here, unless you own a tractor).

My 9hp is rated to throw the snow 45 feet max. I'd have to imagine that V8 is going to throw is much farther.

Not really. Its a v8 shoehorned onto a braced snowblower body. Its really, really cool, but doesnt mean its going to function the way a snowblower should.

Dont get me wrong, it'll power through ice before the blades stop, which no regular snowblower can do, its much stronger than a blower could ever hope to be. Doesnt mean it throws snow well though.
