Ah doom and gloom... I'm sure you're right but I paid $2.49 yesterday! I have no doubt that these dirt bag oil companies will use this as an excuse to raise today's gas prices even though we don't get that much oil from there, even though it hasn't impacted their reserves yet, even though I'm sure that this won't last too long... The biggest tree hugger in the world still drives their Prius to work either using gas made from oil or electricity made from coal that was transported to the power plant on a diesel train... It's easy for them to pull this now that gas prices are low, wait until they hit $4-5 per gallon. The same poor, black folks that praised his election like the Israelites praised Moses, will be calling for Obama's head! Wait and see...

Exactly.

I shouldn't be surprised that all drilling was halted, they are siting how it's dangerous. Like it wasn't before?

BP has an expensive problem. Why rush to fix it and take the loss when you can use it for leverage to get a price hike and maybe some Fed funding for the inevitable clean up lawsuits??

Maybe if BP had a clue how to stop oil from gushing into the Gulf people would be more receptive to their drilling.

Or wait until someone else fixes it. Hell when a movie star can do a better job than a whole company, why would they want to fix it.
